Many problems have several causes- and effects. United Way can address these multiple causes through the Community Fund and it can do so with benefits and depth beyond that of any other single organization.
The Community Fund approach enlists the United Way network of local volunteers and community service specialists to...assess our community on an ongoing basis; identify issues, problems and needs; evaluate local agencies and services available; and fund the highest priority services to ensure that help can be provided, when and where needed.
By focusing on five baskets of service, United Way's Community Fund not only helps people who really need help, but also ensures that each contribution makes the greatest impact possible.
